A couple months ago I was talking about lifting my 11" Delta lathe by 1.5" to give me a 14" spin. Well, fast forward a few months and I picked the blocks up so I can finish my end of the build.
The "too short" block is a screw up and will be fixed easily I hope. I have to call tomorow and see if they have .465 left when they cut the block into final size. The said that the milled the block as one piece and then cut it apart. If they do, I can easily weld the section back on as it will be all painted when done. I will use one plug weld on the side/rear and then "V" groove and stich weld the sides up. The top & bottom can be left alone with just a tack in the middle as you will never see it. Sucks, but as explained on my website, the price was right!
I put a web page up to add to my site here:

Oh, and if anyone just happens to have a short piece of link belt kicking around, I need enough to compensate for the 1.5" lift... I hate to buy a whole new belt for a couple inches. Rounded out, 4" would probably be perfect. Please let me know if you have a chunk left over.
