Leather wrapped pens

So I've had this idea for a while, just had no clue where or how to start. The idea was about a leather pen, that you could feel the leather on it. Not to diminish the popularity of type that are popular here, but if I've got a leather pen I want to feel the leather. So one day I found someone that was doing exactly what my Idea was. So we wrote back and forth a few times and there I was down the rabbit hole. So what we have here are my first two completed leather wrapped pens. They are both Diamond Knurls. The darker one is just scrap leather from a craft store. The second or lighter dimpled one is Deer skin leather, it turned out a bit proud of the fixtures. Comments and critiques are welcome.

very nicely done. there was someone here that did this type of work years ago. I know there are a few people that do the stacking of leather rounds and turning down but this is very cool. Looks like a football. Thanks for showing.
