Ironwood Cigar-- updated pic

My first attempt at both kit and wood. Pretty happy except for a few little flaws in the finish, that of course didn't show up till after I assembled it. Gotta figure out why that happens every once in a while.

This pic taken today in sunlight only. The grain does align, really it does.

Beautiful pen! Dumb question: Ironwood comes in red too, or is it dyed? I have only seen the darker brown/black versions.

Thanks everyone.
This blank is pretty redish, although the pic makes it look a little more than it is. I think the color can vary depending on where it is taken from the tree and the environment where the tree grows. This blank ended up in my last order from BB, so I assume it is an AZ tree but that is just a guess. Lemme tell you, this is one heavy pen.

Looks like two different pens with just the sunlight. Looks more like the kingwood I am used to seeing.
