Holder for treenware

Last week I posted some spoons and spatulas that I made for my daughter for Christmas.
Today I made a holder for them. It is made from tulip poplar. I painted the center band with pitch black milk paint and then textured it with a small burr in a dremmel tool. So far it just has a quick coat of salad bowl finish
