Help with 4 Jaw mini chuck

I can't seem to find a link or site that has the 4 jaw mini chuck that I can just throw a square blank on. I have a mini 3 Jaw for rounds, but need a four. Any help would be appreciated.

You should be able to put a square blank in any four jaw chuck. Provided you are talking about pen blanks.

I use my Barracuda2 chuck for that quite often.

Just put the points of the square between the jaws, rather than in them.

Hi Martin; I know this isn't a 4 jaw chuck but it's what I use all most exclusively for drilling pen blanks.

I am looking at a similar thing and have narrowed it down to the apprentice chuck from CSUSA (http://www.woodturnerscatalog.com) or the Baraccuda 2 from Penn State (www.pennstateind.com).

The Baraccuda is cheaper on Amazon.

Both have the same basic capabilities and get good reviews. The primary difference between them is that the cuda uses tommy bars and the apprentice uses a keyed chuck.

EDIT: I grabbed the wrong one here. The Barracuda is the one comparable to the apprentice that uses tommy bars

Martin, I use the Barracuda Micro chuck from PSI on my Jet 1220VS and it works great.

You are correct. The plain barracuda is the one that I have been using. I am not sure what I was thinking when I posted about the barracuda 2.
