Not sure where this post belongs, sorry.

Was photographing some pens this morning. A Lighthouse pen I was shooting, fell off the stand it was on and the "light dome" came off. Not the first time this happened but when I tried fixing that one, I used CA glue, and it "clouded" up the plastic dome. I don't want to repeat the same mistake.

What can I use, or what did "they" use, to glue this on, and can I do better?

I tried clear epoxy and was able to get it back on, but it smeared the black paint that's around the base. Was able to get a replacement from PSI. All good. Thanks!

I just had one of those that I made for a coworker that had the same failure. To fix it, I brought in a bottle of medium ca, (but I'd assume any weight would work), removed the cap completely from the ca, dipped a q-tip into the ca, wiped excess off so I didn't get drips, and smeared around the black base. A little twist like with a brass tube in a blank, and it set up securely.

I think those pens look neat. But they are a keep on your desk pen, not a sticking out of your shirt pocket as you make your way around the world pen. I've been thinking of taking one of those psi pen stand kits and trying to make it look more like a rocky outcropping that a lighthouse would belong on the top of. But that's just another wanna be project taking up brain space.
