Welcome0 Justin, from far west Kentucky, to the addiction, sometimes referred to as the vortex. Be sure to give the library a good bit of time. The link is at the top of the page. You will find an article called Library Index. This covers tutorials on about anything pen making you can think of. You will also notice that there are articles listed by year. Much good info there as well. When these fail to answer your questions, by all means post it here. I have never seen one go unanswered very long. Grab some wood, make some shavings and have fun all the while being safe.

Welcome Justin. There's so much here to read and learn from. Be sure to check out the local chapers near you for meeting dates. For SC we meet on the first saturday of each month at woodzone in columbia. Maybe you could make it in one day. There's also one in atlanta that might be of interest to you. They don't meet as often, but they meet all day and have tons to teach and are super friendly.

Welcome from Texas. Some have already said it browse the library" but also spend time on other threads and seeing what works of art these folks create. I have just re-started turning (I make a bowl in junior high and I'm retired now) and just joined IAP a few months ago. There's tons of great information put there to put to good use.
