Dinning room table...nice dark wood...needs a little something. Lemon oil? Pledge? Need a recommendation for an effective treatment with a simply spray and wipe application. Thanks, Frank
What Pete said is absolutely true and such a huge factor when working in a wood shop. You see people use all kinds of stuff for waxing tablesaw tops and other machinery. Also for lubricating gears in machines and it can be a nightmare when comes to finishing. Wood is a natural product and needs natural oils. Synthetic stuff is not wanted.Be careful using spray waxes like Pledge. Some contain silicone that reeks havoc when it comes time to strip and refinish it. The silicone causes fisheye and orange peel in the newly sprayed lacquer. Keep the stuff off your shop machines too. The only good use for it that I have found is for waxing snow shovels.
