I had a small chenk of this wormy maple that I rescued from the wood burner and thought I would try a small hollow form.. Then I added a base of paduk and a finial of cocobolo.
Fun little project all in all

How thick are the walls? What kind of tool did you turn the inside with?

Pretty work. I just did my first hollow form....see my post. Haven't done a finial yet.

The walls are about 1/8 inch or so..I used a sorby Hollow master..I put the paduk ring in the hole so you cant stick your whole finger in the hole, just your pinkey and still you can barly touch the sides..that way I didnt have to sand as much..but if anyone asks the inside is sanded to 600 grit
