FWIW, For all resins I have been wet sanding starting at 600 (600, 800, 1200) then micromesh pads to 12000. I then use a plastic polish for clear plastics and then buff with the blue plastic polish and then a plain wheel. Seems to work well for me and with my vision issues, is a system I can do by rote and get good results. The attached kitless pen was polished that way, including the brass pieces. And I almost missed, I am polishing the inside with ZONA paper held in jeweler's tweezers and sometimes use a little plastic polish on a Q-Tip.
