This is my eagle scout intarsia. It is for a guy that wanted two of them one for each of his sons. Intarsia is what I enjoy the most. this takes up most of my time, then penturning. This piece measures 30 x 34.

Clayton ... 1st) EXCELLENT job on you piece, 2) would you mind telling us what species of woods you used, how long it took you to make, finishes, etc? Many of us really like to "hear about it all!"

Thanks all for the comments. The woods used were. walnut - body, wings and lettering, yellowheart - beak and talons, nothern white cedar - tail feathers, eye brows, poplar - banner, aspen - head, and paduak - claws and tongue. I have about 23 hours in it. It is finished with 2 coats of satin polyurathane. 92 pieces not counting the letters. no stains all natural.
Again thanks for all the great comments.
