Hi, I was wondering what everyone else used as part of their dust collection systems
Was just googling around and found one at PA and was wondering what you guys thought of this system.

I was also surfing around leevalley and apparently they don't sell this one anymore but it looks very portable

Where else in the Greater Toronto Area can I find my first dust collection machine. I've been using masks but I think its time to get a machine so the dust doesn't land on everyyyyyy thing.

edit: sorry about the links.

Links do not work for m --

You need HEPA size (1 micron) fine filtration to get the dust out -- anythig else is a debris catcher and the fine dust persists.

What do you want to do with it? Do you want a whole shop system, or do you want a per machine dust collector?

IMHO, my Clearview cyclone cannot be beat for price, service, performance and capability.

not exactly sure, is there one that can do both?

Yes...it is called a shop system. You drop hoses to each of the machines with a blast gate and pen only the necessary gate for the machine you are working on. Get something with at least 2HP to give plenty of air movement. Then you can add the 1/2 micron filter system to it which costs about $169 This is what I am doing with mine. Also get an air cleaner for any dust that gets into the air. A cyclone is the best thing o get but they are rather expensive. You can get a cyclone add on that separates the debris from the dust. The debris goes into a separate can for easy removal and the dust goes into the dust collector bag. You will empty it a LOT less this way. The Clearview that was mentioned is a great system. Their is also the Oneida which is small and is an add on. Check out all the options and decide which is right for you, your wallet, and your comfort level.

This is the replacement bag and filter for many machines which I am adding to my Jet dust collector. http://www.wynnenv.com/35A_series_cartridge_kit.htm

Just my $.02 worth and MHO.

I have a Small canister top je. It roles around. I have been happy with. it dose a good job. I also have a Delta portable basically the same idea as the lee valley one. The Delta is a triangle shape and has a light in it. It works well in my small 12'x16' shop but it is very noisy.

One thing to keep in mind, all the people that have systems with the expensive canisters and half micron filter bags are keeping their carefully heated or cooled air in their shops. If you don't have your shop heated you can much more easily just use the stock bags and blow the dust and stuff outside and not worry about getting all that fine dust out of the exhaust air from the collector. Lots easier and cheaper if you live somewhere that is not unbearably cold in the winter, (and you don't mind sweating a little in the summer).
