Well, I know you all have been waiting to see how the Drill Worm Pens turned out. I will tell you, they did not turn out at all like I was expecting them to. After I sat there staring at the turned blanks, I decided to go forward and make the pens, even though the blanks looked nothing like I was hoping.
A couple of details: 1) there were a lot of voids/air bubbles. These could probably be reduced with proper casting technique. 2) I painted the holes in the drilled blanks with white paint, which definitely changed the look of the blanks, but not as much as the actual turning.
Without further delay, here are some pics. I made one cigar pen and one Le Roi (Sierra clone).

So, I probably will not make any more of these. Unless we need entries for the ugliest pen contest.
