Great idea and nice work. You should replace the screws with brass ones to match!

(goes to check my doorbell to see if I can turn a replacement button...)

Yeah, screws are next. THis was an emergency repair. The old button had shattered.

I didn't turn it, I carved it with a Dremel and a carbide carving bit. Quick sand and buff and up it went!
