For the custom fp folks, I have a couple of questions. In tapping the section (using a metric tap) for the housing to thread into, I usually use a drill size closest to the tap's diameter minus pitch. I'm able to thread the housing into the section, but often times when pushing in the converter into the nipple of the feed, the housing (along with the feed/tap) dislodges from the section. I have to support the housing/feed assembly on the other end with my other hand to keep this from happening.
I guess my questions are:
1. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this typical with custom sections?
2. is applying a small amt of epoxy on the housing advisable to keep it in place inside the section? I know cleaning/flushing the feeds/nib is important, but not sure if the housing necessarily has to be removed from the section for cleaning.
