I was asked to make a pen with the Elegant Cigar kit from EB. The customer wanted a gold nib and wanted 'burl wood'. I chose locally harvested cherry burl.
Now let's hope he likes it.
But there is something that I cannot reconcile, you said "The customer wanted a gold nib and wanted 'burl wood'."
If I am Not Mistaken, that pen is a Ball Point, and I cannot see any "Nib or Gold".
You must be a Terrific Salesman if you changed the Customers Specifications that much.
Regards, and Good Luck.
Brian.
He is not very informed as a customer. He is a builder and actually thought that burl was a specific species of wood.
If you can't educate them the at least make them happy.
