Rick; I believe there are several articles in the Library "Pin Chuck" is the thing to search for.

I've made these with a mandrel rod and a flat file. Use the file on edge and file a 1/2" flat the depth of your pin. The closer you get to the dimension of the pin the better.

I use the HF punch set and slip a rubber O ring in the flat. cut the O ring, cut it long and slip it in. I bought a box full of O rings all thickness available for what we use.
