Lately John and Anthony has been posting some beautiful solid body pens and I had to try one. This is a chrome baron on some osage orange. You can't tell much about the wood because the picture is so pixelated(is that the word?).
HEY! [:0] You made my pen. [][][] I've been using osage orange to attempt my closed end Baron. Tried drilling on the lathe. When the (80% turned) blank started to heat excessively, I pulled out the bit and let all cool. Afterwards, the bit would not go back in. Beginning of problems..[] It can bd done. Thanks for the encouragement. I have a hunk of OO suntanning to test color change. Will report on that later. In person OO looks much better than the photo captures.
Frank, I drilled it on the lathe square, I marked the bit at the depth I wanted and drilled it slow backing out a lot. I have a set of spigot jaws for my talon
