I just picked up a paintroller and modified some of the plastic end-pieces to use for a buffer and I had a question about compounds. Is "white rouge" the same as "white diamond"? Is there a brand preference? I use Shellawax EEE when I'm done sanding right now, should I use a tripoli compound on the buffer as well before the white compound or is that tripoli overkill? Any other buffing tips I'm missing out on?

Thanks!

Are EEE and tripoli darn near the same "grit"? (Hint: EEE might well be read as triple E). [:D] On most plastics (resins, just so Anthony's not offended) Micro-Mesh 12000 followed by a good automotive swirl remover (such as Meguiar's) is sufficient. White diamond is an equally good polish at that stage.
