Here is a pen I finished today, made from black water buffalo horn, ebonite, and argentium silver. I made the barrel and grip from Japanese ebonite, which has a buffalo horn sleeve over the barrel, starting right behind the cap threads. I made the cap from thin argentium sheet, which is fit over an ebonite inner cap, which the cap threads are cut in to. The clip is argentium as well, and I cast it from a wax model I carved. The grip is cut for a Bock 380 nib. Ideally I would have used a rhodium plated one, but I only had a titanium nib. The pen is about 5 1/16" long when capped, 5" from nib to barrel end, and 13mm diameter at the threads, which are triple lead (12tpi).
