Brown Mallee Bowl

I had an oblong burl cap of brown mallee that was too large for my midi lathe, so I cut it apart.

Unfortunately, that meant I couldn't just leave it fully natural edged, but I did leave some of the natural burl.

This was finished with "Masters Magic" spray lacquer (3 coats).

I think that the bowl is nicely turned, but I am not sure about how the remaining burl looks.

Mallee certainly makes for spectacular turnings and the is no exception. Beautiful.
