I decided that the wedding pen set I made for my son and his fiancee needed a special box. I used lazertran decal paper and applied it to turpentine wetted wood. This helps the decal kind of absorb into the grain of the wood. I didn't get it as perfect as I would have liked but I am pretty pleased.

Thanks for looking.

It's a fabulous job! Especially since the decal is so large. Thanks for the tip about the turpentine. I'm going to try that on my next decal.

Sherri:
I'm not sure the turpentine idea can be used with all decal papers. The instructions that come with the lazertran paper specifically describe this technique. This paper is different from other papers I have read about because you also don't need to seal the ink once you print the decal.
