These are a couple of things I tried last couple of weekends after I got frustrated with the celtic knots I tried. They are made from some mesquite I cut from my property. Turned out not too bad. The short one is about 4-1/4" tall and 3" round. I like the look of the bark still on the base. Finished with Myland's sanding sealer and wax. MM'ed to 12000. The second is about 6" tall and 4" round. MM'ed to 12000 and CA'ed with 2 thin coats and 8 medium coats. I also like the yellow sap wood on both of them. All comments and critiques are very welcome. Thanks for taking a peek.

I forgot to add that the larger one took flight off the lathe when my gouge dug in on the bowl part. Pulled it loose from the screws so had to remount it and re-turn the whole thing as I couldn't get it centered exactly. Lost alot of the sapwood due to that.
