Here is a pen I finished this weekend. I made it from blue/gray alumilite I poured a few weeks ago, and was playing around with some new ideas. I made the clip and bands from argentium sheet. The nib is a jowo #6 , and the pen is converter fed. It's a mid sized pen, with 1/2" cap threads, and approximately 5.25" long, and postable. The clip is made in two pieces, which is something I'd wanted to try for a while.

VERY beautiful work, John !!

I'd like to know how the clip is attached, please .... I don't see the usual "barrel break". . Looks like the clip might have a tab going through the side.

Mal, my guess is a tab with a hole in it and a small screw through it into the end of the cap. There seems to be enough meat for some threads..

Of course...yet another really cool pen John... 👍

Thanks for your comments, Skip ! . I kinda figured something like that is going on, and it sure sounds reasonable.

John, what thickness of material do you use for your clips? Is the material sold as soft or hard?
I use 14gauge. I'm not sure what the hardness was on it. It ends up getting torched and soldered, so the temper is destroyed on it anyway during the fabrication process.
