Here is a pen I finished this weekend. I made it from blue/gray alumilite I poured a few weeks ago, and was playing around with some new ideas. I made the clip and bands from argentium sheet. The nib is a jowo #6 , and the pen is converter fed. It’s a mid sized pen, with 1/2” cap threads, and approximately 5.25” long, and postable. The clip is made in two pieces, which is something I’d wanted to try for a while.

VERY beautiful work, John !!

I'd like to know how the clip is attached, please .... I don't see the usual "barrel break". . Looks like the clip might have a tab going through the side.

Mal, my guess is a tab with a hole in it and a small screw through it into the end of the cap. There seems to be enough meat for some threads..

Of course...yet another really cool pen John... 👍

John, what thickness of material do you use for your clips? Is the material sold as soft or hard?
I use 14gauge. I’m not sure what the hardness was on it. It ends up getting torched and soldered, so the temper is destroyed on it anyway during the fabrication process.
