Bic Pens?

I saw reference where someone was discussing the Bic pens they made. Any more info on this?

I didn't see the post you referenced. I do know that Penn State Industries sells an Icon pen kit that accepts Bic refills. That may be what you saw.

I made a few of those back in December when I noticed they came out. Personally I like the aluminum one

I'm not sure why, but making a wood exact replicate of the octagonal bic stick is on my list, along with a pentel.

I got the "starter set" and have turned all 5. Pretty easy IMHO. HOWEVER, they'll be a bit difficult if you're used to turning oversize pen bodies. In order to keep the look more or less "true" to the Bic concept, they need to be on the slender side. That said, they're pretty inexpensive and can be used as giveaways or extras.
Also - they're an interesting way to use up blanks that are taking up space that you haven't been able to match up elsewhere.
