Busted two plastic blanks before I gave up and finished one in bloodwood. Too bad about the brown one. That would have been a nice pen.

Yeah. I only recently started working with plastics and they have been giving me fits. The blanks last night chipped out, I think, because my slew wrapped around the front and was cutting on the face of the blank. I should have learned the first time.

This marks were from the spindle gouge. I'd just switched over when it blew apart on me.

I tried the Easy Wood Tools Negative Rake Carbide on acrylics today worked great. I did have a brown malle burl blank blow up like that today though.
