I need to set up some pneumatic clamps for a jig I use. I just bought 2 Destaco 812 clamps (http://www.destaco.com/assets/docs/en/ds/812.pdf) and now need to hook them up. I am very familiar with regular air hose stuff but know nothing about this type of application. I need some help!

The clamps have M5 female fittings and are double action cylinders. I need some way to activate and de-activate them. I want something simple such as a toggle switch valve. I also need the fittings to hook up the hose to the clamps and the valve/switch.

Any recommendation on what I should use would be appreciated.

Also, is it ok to run the hose from each clamp to a tee and then have one hose to the valve to reduce clutter? I know the hose used is really small so will it have enough volume of air or do I have to run dedicated lines from the valve?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have searched the internet on how to set up a pneumatic clamp system and find NOTHING so I thought I would turn here!

Thanks in advance!

Curtis,
I have set up air operated clamping on fixtures in my work in machining and tool building.
Start with something like the hand operated valve shown here:
TOGGLE CLAMPS, AIR-POWERED CLAMPS, AIR ACCESSORIES :: Carr Lane Manufacturing Co.

add a regulator in-line before the valve, this makes it possible to manipulate line pressure
to "adjust' the clamping speed and force.
yes, you can tee the line from the valve, the clamps won't care.
fittings, try Carr Lane, McMaster Carr or MSC Industrial, this gets to be fun as you patch
all the components together. Grainger will have them also.
you'll want to mount the valve and regulator also so it doesn't flop around.
hope that gets you pointed in the right direction.

I have a couple valves that might meet your needs. They are at my storage about 50 miles away from my home. I will go there in the next couple days and send them to you, if you want. No charge, just use if you can. Book ends if you can't.
