anyone ever turn bottle brush tree?

I have an opportunity to get a good sized Bottle brush tree
and was wondering if the wood would be worth the effort of
cutting down a pretty large tree.

Nice Pen. Here's a picture of the tree I can get-
if I cut it down. About 20" across for most of the 6'
trunk.

I've made a few pens also out of this tree. turns easy and even smells a little sweet when turning. kind of a pinkish wood. go for it.

NOthing wrong with the wood, just concerned
about the risks of dropping that tree. It's
awful close to the house.

if you are not confident about felling that tree i suggest letting the pros get it on the ground. the free wood would not be worth the risk. bob
