No longer confused....
I was out picking up goodies for my first casting today and had some profound thoughts. I was in the grocery store getting some coffee beans and found this alphabet pasta stuff. After several long minutes of deep thought I grabbed a box of that and some tri color rotini.

Has anyone ever used pasta to cast blanks with? I figured if we could use coffee beans then pasta would be usable as well. Could even put names and stuff in there. Only problem I see is the alphabet pasta is the standard semolina color so perhaps some type of dye would work with that.

BTW this is a photo I found online.

I've tried it.
Suggest you boil it first and then let it dry some.

It never really worked all that well for me so I moved onto other things.

Hi, if you search "pasta" in IAP photos, you will find three samples of cast with pasta, no letters but pasta. May be you can contact author for aditional information.

Yes, El Mostro sells blanks here, he HAS cast pasta, don't know if that's one of the ones he sells, or not.
