Every so often a pen comes along that you have to keep fiddling with. First the CA wouldn't look right, had to resand twice, then of course the fit was not quite right. I persevered though and salvaged this one this morning. Not my best work, but glad it's over 
It is naval live oak as is a previous one I posted, salvaged from the firewood pile. This stuff doesn't play well with others and needs a steady hand (not mine). It was primarily used for shipbuilding back in the day. I put up a pic of the pieces I took from firewood pile, bring a darn good saw!!
