Alumilite & Chilli pepper

I have tried 2xs to cast some blanks with chilli pepper. The first time I thought I mixed the "a" and "b" wrong. The second time I was sure to mix it right and it still won't firm up. I assume there is some adverse chemical reaction with the pepper. Anyone else had this problem?
It is a shame it has a nice rich red color with gold specks.

So chili pepper is an alkali, therefore an acid like vinegar would neutralize it... Then a tea bath and rinse in fresh water...

So I could rinse with vinegar, then with tea and fresh water?? Then of course dry--It that right?

Have you tried putting the blanks in an oven for a short time? That is what I was told to do by someone at Alumilite and it worked great for me.
