I saved some coffee beans-and gave them a second life as a pen. Now every time I write, its smells like fresh coffee-and I love it

That's so cool! I'd love to see how your pens looked—coffee beans just have that special charm, don't they?I still have a few blanks I made almost 20 years ago, some with cream looks and some black. When I made a few pens with beans back then, I got more comments from those than any other pen design! People liked those!
Great eye—and you're spot on! I didn't add any finish, just polished it. I think that's what lets the coffee scent stay nice and strong. Glad you noticed!Caffeine free? Good idea and nice pen. Watched the video. Did you add any kind of finish on the blank? None would be why you get the aroma of fresh coffee.
I was living in Japan at the time and gave them away to friends. IIRC, I fit the coffee blanks onto cigar pens. This makes me want to cast a few and make some more! That's so cool! I'd love to see how your pens looked—coffee beans just have that special charm, don't they?![]()
