A butcher block board

I was commissioned to make a custom cutting surface for a customer. This is the design I came up with. It is (from left to right) purple heart, maple, jatoba, walnut, maple, walnut and maple lam, and reverse order. Please forgive the piece look as this was the fit up of the design. It is in the process of being glued up and trimmed out. It should be ready in a few more days. I will post pics then. Size is 13" x 10.5". Finished will be slightly smaller.

I really liked how it came out and the customer was really happy with it. Think I will do another one...or two.
