Hi everyone, after my birthday on the 18 of last month I was thinking of how many years I have been wood turning, I used to say I have been turning for over 30 years then it was 35 years, well now it is 40 years since I started turning.
In those many years I had the privilege of working for world famous Dan Deluz, I always liked the way he would make a bowl collection and sell it as a collection, each bowl was a different wood.
After so many years of wood working, I have amassed a great deal of wood and a lot of it is rare. So I decided to make some miniature bowl collections, I get to use my rare woods and since they are mini bowls all under 2 inches in dia, I don't wast a lot of wood. This way people get to enjoy rare woods without spending a fortune.
Here are 3 different bowl collections, the woods are all different, woods like Koa, Kou, Aalii, Naio, Sandalwood, Hau and many more. The thing that makes these bowl collections so special is that they come with a stand that is equally as beautiful as the bowls, these 3 stands are made from curly Koa and Maua, curly Naio and Maua and then the small one is Guava and Milo.
I hope you all enjoy the pictures. Aloha.
