I'm getting ready to cast my first snakeskin blanks in Silmar 41. I've done a lot of research on it and think I have a pretty good idea of how to do it. The only thing I don't know about is if I should try to warm the mold before casting. Any advice on the whole casting process with silmar 41...

I just cast my first blanks using silmar 41. I left them under ~45psi for over 24hrs and the outside of the blanks are still soft and tacky! I used 8-9 drops of cat per 3oz of resin. I used mica powders for pigmentation. They also shrunk A LOT! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
