Busy weekend for Mr. & Mrs. Fnfalguy

The War Department and myself decided to go on a tear to work on replacing all the generic bic, gel & other pens in the house with ones we have made. We are making a dent this weekend. Still have a few more with the blanks cut and glued, so it may not be over quite yet.

I like your selection of kits. I am a fan of the Magnetic and Euro/Designer styles and the Cigar is one of my very favorites. What kit is the Junior Gent made from? It kind of reminds me of a Legacy kit.

PS Where's the wood?

There were two others from earlier in the week. Tactical kits with purpleheart and one with purpleheart and a bit of sap wood. For some reason we were in a clay and acrylic mood.

The one on the far right is an older Baron kit from a huge new old stock collection I picked up from someone getting out of pen turning.

I do foresee some burls and swirls happening over the next weekend. I'm done for the day as the War Department handed me a cocktail and it would be rude to say no. No clue what kits to put them on yet though.

Ha, it's never over! This is a great start, though.

I take it 1 and 4 are polyclay? That stained glass pattern is nice, and I have to ask, what is the blank on the purple cigar? It looks like one of those drill worm blanks.

Great eye. Those two are polyclay, felt like cheating as they were almost at the bushings already.

The purple one came from Facebook along with another one I'll be doing tomorrow (better photos attached).

And again, you are dead on. Those were the opal fx blanks.

Is this from a Facebook "store" or was someone just randomly selling them? If someone is making and selling them on Facebook, they definitely deserve some more business!

Not a Facebook marketplace thing, a gentleman named Eugenio Soto. He is a member of a couple of the pen related groups I am in and it was my first purchase from him.

this is the other type i got from him. The seam in the bottom portion of the pen isn't him. I had a blow out during turning and made a repair to the section.

Ah, maybe the owner/maker at muttblanks. He makes some nice stuff, but I had not seen those before.
