My son went to Italy and visited a couple of historic wineries and can back with some corks and is wanting me to make some pens out of the corks. So, looking for any tips/techniques to work with cork - Appreciate any help!

I've made a few and sanded them down on the lathe with 150 grit more than turning with tools. The corks I had weren't long enough so I stacked them on the tube. I used 5 min epoxy and it was hard to see the seam. Also, they get a little dark or dirty looking with use from being handled but still a cool pen.

Thanks John - what do you think about sealing the cork with CA?
