I made this bowl last week. Smoked it with ammonia.
It need to be "smoked".Excellent work Wim,
One comment-done leave it in the electric hob for too long!!
I wish I had the ability to turn such a bowl

I am sorry. I don't know all the English tree names so here the scientific name Robinia pseudoacacia.Good looking bowl. What kind of wood? Looks like one of the Locusts.
The scientific name when searched ends up on Black Locust. Thanks.I am sorry. I don't know all the English tree names so here the scientific name Robinia pseudoacacia.
It took some time. I could not turn it over 300 rpm, my lath (union graduate with FU) shaked to much. Just the last part of the inside I put up the speed without problems. This is my first natural edge bowl I made. The bowl is about 11" and about 6" high. The block I was starting with was very uneven and a lot bigger then the finished bowl.Wow, nice work. That looks like it was a challenging piece of wood to work with.
wonderful work , especially the inner surface finish.
Even with the wide opening that undercut must have been challenging to turn and finish .
Great result
