Hello there Good Folks
After the drama of Covid and TB (et Al) have got down to finishing some Pens
However, making a few of these SLIM LINES and am up against the Wall
Drilled the Blank normal 7mm at the top Tube
And Drilled the Blank at the Lower Tube at 6.9mm
Worked like magic for some woods.
But our Local TAMBUTI and Imported ZIRICOTE is really giving me beans even after having drilled them at 7.0mm
Methinks they are absorbing moisture very rapidly. We are on the Coast and 6-8 Kms from the Ocean
Tried applying SADDLER's BEESWAX to no avail
Been even thinking of trying GREASE - hesitant, a bit far fetched though !!!
Has anybody experienced the same ???
And what method or application solved the Problemo !!!
Would be good to know as we don't wanna discard that Beautiful Wood
Attached are some pics of these SLIM LINES
Thanks in advance, even if U have read thus Far !!!
