Turn the pen down to 0.60". Once you have done that. It takes about an hour, to facet (you only want to take a little off at a time, for each side, I normally go around all 6 sides about 4-5 times), then turn the ends on the lathe to match the bushings, sand 320, 400, 600, 1000, on a flat surface then polish on the buffing wheel rouge and white.

Please note, you may run with a Foredom or the dremel. The foredome is way easier to adjust the height on. I used the dremel on the first 2, it was annoying, so I bought the foredom. All in all it was a lot of cash, but I funded it from selling my other pens. I only turn 8 hours a weekend, so I have not had a lot of time to try everything else. I love the faceted vertex though. Never rolls away.
