Resaw blade for a Laguna 14 12

So as you can imagine from the title I am in the market for a resaw blade for my band saw. It can take a 3/4 inch blade so I am thinking the is the size I will go with. I will be cutting mostly 3 inch and down materials ,mostly hard and figured wood. I currently use a timberwolf 3/8 3as blade for everything. But I have some plans for projects that I will need to cut a bunch of veneer for and the cut with my current blade is just not good enough. This finally leads me to the question that I could use some help with. The tooth count and set. Less teeth like a 2/3 vpc should get the job done but, in my reading more teeth like 14rk will produce a better cut but the feed rate will be slow? Maybe the answer is somewhere in the middle? My only concern is the cut quality. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

For your saw I would seriously look at the ResawKing blade. It is carbide and it can be resharpened and does cut well. You can get away with less expensive blades but if cutting alot of exotics they will dull faster. The key to a great cut though always starts witha well tuned saw so do not blame the blade if your cuts are not smooth. Disclaimer, this is just my opinion.

The key to a great cut though always starts witha well tuned saw so do not blame the blade if your cuts are not smooth. Disclaimer, this is just my opinion.

I believe that my saw is setup correctly as I do get a good cut with the current setup. However I would like a better cut than what I can get now. I just don't know that I am ready for the cost investment of the carbide blade at this time. One day I my look back and say I should have done it but today is not that day. Right now I'm really looking for feedback on any experience with different tooth count and tooth style. With that being said thanks for you input and opinion.

I'm have no advice on what you should buy, but I strongly advise you to cough up the 5 bucks (or whatever the current price is) for their catalog--it's a real bandsaw/blade education. They are also quite good with advice over the phone if you tell them what you want to do.

Good question, but no answer so far. My only source of quality sharpening is Daily Saw in South Gate, the occupy a city block and are very busy with meat cutters like Farmer John etc. I may buy a second one and alternate them.
