Since I can't get the "Post Review" button to work on PSI's website, I will post my review here.

I haven't seen any report here on IAP about this pen kit so hopefully someone will find this helpful.

I made two of these pens but don't have pictures yet. . Will post pics in due course.

This is a great new pen kit. I really like the length of the barrel and the styling is very attractive. It is a little on the heavy side. I would actually prefer it without the words "I love my dog". The click action is the smoothest of any click pen kit that I have made and I really love the feel and look of the clicker. Apart from the weight, the only downside is the clip. The clip design in the form of a bone is great. However, the clip seems to be flakey in that after you have pulled it up once (to clip to your pocket) the clip just does not go down again. It kind of has the look/feel that it might be a spring-action clip but there seems to be no spring to it. For me that is not a huge issue but I would like the clip to function better. As with all PSI kits, the instruction sheet is excellent.

And why would they have picked this image to put on the website?
I'm assuming that ugly casting divot is not supposed to be there!

I can only imagine that they chose the best for their advertising.

I used to carry items from Wendy's headquarters to their specialty photographer. They would send at least 4 trays of 48 buns, so the best could be chosen, along with similar multiples of the other items.

Surely PSI does something close to that for their photo shoots.

I would like to add that when squaring the blanks, do not scrub off any of the tube. Upon final assembly, your refill will stick out a slight bit when closed. This one has just about zero tolerance in the tube length.

That only shows up on the chrome one. The photos of the brass and gold ones look to be oriented to the same location. We are probably just seeing some bad reflection of light.

I am well aware that quality issues do crop up. . With the particular kits I got there weren't any except as noted for the clips. . I got one each of the Antique Pewter and the Antique Brass. . Will buy more, mainly because of the long barrel (3.31"), but would like to find a way to deal with the clip issue. . I don't think it is going to be fixed in the design. . Might have to use a drop of CA but that would be a delicate operation fraught with risk.

I have made at least 12 of these and have had no clip issues. The clip is tight on mine and doesn't move.

Hmmmm .... both of mine are faulty. . Neither makes contact with the body now unless forced to do so.

The faults occurred immediately the clip was used for the first time. Each clip noticeably "snapped" when it happened.

As I said above, this is not a big deal with me, but I would like to see the issue fixed in some way. . The clips wiggle a little bit up and down.

I just did two of these for my vets. In my photos, both show a "blob" of what looks like glue, in the same spot on each pen. It's a trick of the light and that may be what we're seeing in the photo that you posted.

I've made three of these, so far. My wife and I volunteer with a dog rescue group so these three and more to come will find a good home. I like the pen, but the clip bothered me. I didn't think to put the pen in my pocket, but it seems extremely stiff.
