Although not as long as some of you real oldies....like Smitty and co ...today is my wonderful wife and my 28th anniversary. ( Orchid in modern )
Now that the kids aren't kids anymore we try to get away for a few days to celebrate. As we are saving up for our 30th, we had to do this one 'local'...ish.
We spent a few days in the most stunning place in the UK..the Outer Hebrides, on the isles of Harris and Lewis. Absolutely beautiful!!!
Anyway, this 1300 mile round trip involves a ferry crossing and my truck is fitted with a tracker/immobiliser......( can you guess where this is going?:redface
Despite calling the security company a few days prior to our trip and telling them that they may get a signal that the engine was off, but the vehicle was moving, they immobilised my truck while it was on board.
Guess which fool was holding up people from getting off the ferry while he frantically called the company to unlock it.
In their defence, they did try to call me once they got the alarm, but there isn't much signal in that part of the world. Luckily, they unlocked it within minutes of me calling them otherwise there was several locals willing to lift my truck up and chuck it in the harbour...
Back home now and looking forward to a great meal out tonight.
