I've had this one here and have been waiting to get it together but couldn't decide on what blank to use. Finally gave up and got out some curly Koa.

That is another winner. That Koa is so pretty. If you want to try something new, pop out the crystal & turn an insert out of something else, or replace it with a colored crystal to add a different look. I've gotten colored crystals from Michael's. I even though about getting real semi-precious stones to put in. But I never did because of the expense.

I've gotten colored crystals from Michael's. I even though about getting real semi-precious stones to put in. But I never did because of the expense.
Heck, just glue a real diamond in there with CA. :biggrin:

I use epoxy for most things. I know that's what I used on my crystals.

I love the curly koa. I think it's one of the most beautiful woods. It always turns out beautiful. Just wondering, where did you get the blank?
