I found this on Craigslist and it comes with the stand and four chisels for $200.00. Do you think this is a good deal?
It states that it has been used for making pens only.
What should be looked at for potential problems?

Thanks!

If everything checks out - especially the alignment - that is a screaming good deal in my opinion.

It's four years old, and it comes with a live center, three inch faceplate, the stand, and a beginner set of chisels.
It's the 1014vs model and is non-indexed. He said he would take $175.00 for it.

I'm not even looking for one and I'd buy it

If you want it, don't hesitate

It will be gone

You will love having variable speed if you don't now!

If the motor runs and there aren't any cracks in the cast iron, buy it. You could probably make 50% by reselling it in the right place if you didn't want it.

ditto.

for that price, I would buy it and re-sell my non-VS 1014
