Yeh, this is the first one of these I've seen. No, this kind of stew is not on my menu....YETChuck, I saw plenty of those trespassers when I lived in Land O Lakes, FL. They do walk slow, but will dig a hole quickly.
Did you have any stew that evening?
That's funny right there:biggrin:If you zoom in on the second picture, you can see a snail on the back of the tortoise giving him hell for going too fast!:biggrin::biggrin:
I want to keep him around in case he eats bugs.:biggrin:What kind of turtle is it? How many pens can you make out of him?:biggrin:
He seemed peaceful enough.:wink:A tortoise! I almost got one as a pet, I was in Washington state at a reptile sanctuary and it was $25, I didn't know the laws with bringing it to Canada so I had to leave it behind ... would have been the quietest pet I ever owned!

Two streets over from me, I spotted a gator in a culvert pipe under a driveway. The resident owner said, it's been there for a monthYour lucky it wasn't a gator..Cool pictures.
To get to the other side.:biggrin:Why did the __________ cross the road?
Thank you Roy. However, I think I would be preparing and, eating the stew by myself.A land turtle is a gopher and gopher stew is very good. Chuck here is a link to a recipe: http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,1748,153179-241193,00.html
