Hello Everyone…
A friend of mine acquired a small amount of copper / brass tubing and copper electric wire from the USS Forrestal (CV-59).
I've been trying to figure out how I could use this material in crafting pens. Here is what I've come up with:
If I can pound the materials thin enough I could test my skills at making steampunk blanks. However, depending on the thickness of the material, that may be next to impossible. I do have a friend that has a jewelry mini roll press that might get the size down to something manageable but will not get it down to the thickness to make these blanks.
My other idea is to simply drill holes the size of the electric wire in a blank, insert and glue the wire, and turn it. Simple, but I am not sure how it would look or how to finish it.
Does anyone have other ideas?
