I made these pepper mills for gifts to family members. The first is sap/heart wood walnut, the second is dogwood and the third is apple.
Comments are welcome.

That IS a very pleasant shape!!

The apple may be a little thin, but small hands may be grateful for that!

Pretty Pepper grinders Louis, I like all 3, and I like the shape and the chatter tool on the top, they sure help on end grain.
Also if I may, what finish did you use on them? I'm still trying to figure the best finish..

Thanks Ken. I applied a CA/BLO finish on the lathe. Thought it would be durable for a kitchen environment. On other mills I used a wipe-on poly finished. I am undecided on which I like best.
