I use two coats thin, eight coats medium CA.

I also make sure to seal the end grain With thin CA.

I have not had any returned, nor has my personal one been a problem.

It was an interesting turn for me. The wood was punky in places so after every few light passes, I stopped and drizzled the punky parts with thin CA.

I had never tried that before. . Maybe an "on the fly" stabilization?

That's a really nice looking razor... spalted maple and spalted hackberry are two of my favorite woods to work with.... I have some spalted maple blanks that I cut a while back and need to use.... did you stabilize the wood before you made the handle?

The blanks came from a bowl blank and were mostly solid. The few porus areas, I soaked with thin CA. Then made a few light passes and soaked again till I got to finish diameter.

The next step for me is to use my Beall wood buff and remove all sandpaper traces in two planes. If anything were to be less than stable, I would know then.

Reason I asked about stabilization was the water and wood mixture... if you have enough CA soaked into the wood, it should be okay.... I have a friend who as the set up to run blanks through Curtis's cactus juice... thinking about working a deal with him... may have to spring for the juice my self.

I know pitifully little about stabilization.

You have given me a starting point to learn.

Thank you

Andy

P. S. So much to learn.
